Created for the hosts of my first London exhibition, The Space Between explores the idea that what separates us may be far smaller than we imagine.
Built through layers of texture and excavation, the circular form appears both complete and incomplete. The break in the circle introduces tension and movement, drawing attention to the space itself.
Like much of my work, the painting began as a meditation on connection, presence and the illusion of separation.
